Kuda Huraa, Maldives (August 13, 2016) - The 2016 Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy has been run and won by West Australian surfer Taj Burrow. Burrow came up against the event’s defending champion, big wave legend Shane Dorian in the Final.

After two full days at the 2016 Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy seeing Taj Burrow take out the single fin and Shane Dorian win his second twin fin title a lay-day has been called on Day 3.

Shane Dorian has continued his love affair with twin fins, taking out the division at the 2016 Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy for a second year in a row.

Kuda Huraa, Maldives (August 10, 2016) - Competition is underway at the 2016 Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy with Day 1 seeing competitors return to basics and hitting the water on single fin boards. Taj Burrow (AUS) took out the division in pumping 3 to 4 foot clean right-handers at Sultans.

Joining Pipe specialists Jamie O’Brien, former Championship Tour competitor and WSL deputy commissioner Travis Logie and 2015 event champion Shane Dorian will be Taj Burrow,  Bethany Hamilton, Rob Machado and local champion Hussain 'Iboo' Areef.

Kuda Huraa Maldives, June 15, 2016 – Momentum is building for the world’s most luxurious surfing contest, the Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy with the first two contestants of the 2016 event being announced.  South Africa’s Travis Logie (ZAF) and Pipeline specialist Jamie O’Brien (USA) will join the 2015 event champion Shane Dorian (USA) in the pristine waves on offer in the Maldives.
